To measure the content of total ginseng saponin in Jinjian capsule with vitriol-carbinol method.Extract carbinol from sample, by Ambrlite-XAD-2 macroporous resin and neutral alumina purification, take saponin Re as control, developing with concentrated sulfuric acid-carbinol, measure total saponin at 321 nm.The results show that, at 21.0-126.0 μg, the absorbance and content has good linear relation, r = 0.9999 (n = 6), the sample recovery rate is 95.1%, RSD 1.1% (n = 9).It was concluded that, vitriol-carbinol method is simple to operate, quick, sensitive, with good repeatability, and can be a quant. anal. for quality evaluation to total saponin.
