An HPLC method was established for the amount determination of cefaclor capsules.The anal. was performed on a Cosmosil ODS C18 column (4.6 mm × 250 mm, 5 μm).The mobile phase was composed of potassium dihydrogen phosphate buffer solution (pH = 3.4), acetonitrile (90:10) with the flow rate of 1 mL/min.The detection wavelength was 254 nm.The standard curve was linear in the concentration range of 0.0564-0.282 g/L for cefaclor (r = 0.9998, n=5).The recovery rate was 99.26% (RSD = 0.81%, n = 9).The method was simple, accurate, and suitable for the amount determination of cefaclor capsules.
