BioCryst Announces Inducement Grants per Nasdaq Rule 5635(c)(4) - July 2, 2024

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., July 02, 2024 -- BioCryst Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: BCRX) recently announced that the compensation committee of its board of directors has awarded stock options and restricted stock units (RSUs) to five newly-hired employees. These incentives are aimed at encouraging the new employees to join the company. The compensation includes stock options to purchase a total of 46,850 shares and RSUs covering a combined 19,435 shares of BioCryst common stock. These grants were made on June 28, 2024, following Nasdaq Listing Rule 5635(c)(4).

The stock options come with an exercise price of $6.18 per share, which was the closing price of BioCryst's common stock on the grant date. Both the stock options and RSUs will vest in four equal annual installments, starting from the one-year anniversary of the grant date, contingent on the continued employment of the new hires. Each stock option is valid for a ten-year period. These options and RSUs are governed by the terms of BioCryst’s Inducement Equity Incentive Plan, along with specific agreements related to stock options or restricted stock units.
