MTF-101 (Motif Bio)

From the aqueous extract of Puerariae radix, anticholinergic substances like daidzein, daidzin, and puerarin were removed as much as possible to make a syrup material which has a constant cholinergic activity.This sirup material was termed MTF-101.From MTF-101, two cholinergic substances and five other compounds were isolated; choline chloride [67-48-1] (∼1.0%), acetylcholine chloride [60-31-1] (∼0.1%), allantoin [97-59-6] (∼3%), D-mannitol [69-65-8] (∼15%), D-(+)-pinitol [10284-63-6] (∼8%), succinic acid [110-15-6] (∼10%), and L-(+)-Mg lactate [18917-93-6] (∼15%).

The difference of stability was compared between the aqueous extract of Puerariae radix MTF-101 [57455-79-5], was much more resistant to cholinesterase [9001-08-5] and high temperature, and more effective on the intestinal movement of anesthetized guinea pig and intestinal internal pressure than acetylcholine chloride [60-31-1] (1 × 10-7 g/ml).
