Adaptive Research's new deal involves both in- and out-patient environments at the AHMC Seton Medical Center.
Adaptive Research, a CRO focused on putting community physicians into the clinical trial process, has partnered with AHMC Seton Medical Center to expand patient access to new drug studies.
Under the terms of the deal, sponsors, CROs and clinical research organizations will be able to use the Daly City, California, medical center for investigative trials if the studies match with Seton’s patient population and the interest of patients in participating, the company said in a March 7 press release. The access is for both in- and outpatient environments at the medical center.
Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
Industry and global drug regulators like the FDA have been calling for and implementing efforts to bring clinical trials to underserved communities. The FDA will soon require drugmakers to create and submit diverse recruitment plans for clinical trials early in the drug development process.
