SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Exo® (pronounced “echo”), a pioneering medical imaging software and devices company, today announced that Exo Works™, the company’s point-of-care ultrasound workflow solution, has earned Certified status for information security by HITRUST and has successfully completed the Service Organization Control (SOC 2) Type II certification. These achievements provide additional assurances that Exo sufficiently manages risk, improves security posture and meets compliance requirements for protecting patient data.

HITRUST Risk-based, 2-year Certified status validates that Exo Works has met key regulations and is appropriately managing risk according to the framework of controls put forth by HITRUST. In part because of its alignment with The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), HITRUST is considered a foundational certification for healthcare organizations. By achieving it, Exo customers can be assured that Exo Works is meeting the highest standards for data security.
