HOYA Corporation (HOYA) today acquired the remaining 49% of the shares of WASSENBURG Medical B.V (WASSENBURG), becoming the sole shareholder of the Dutch-based medical reprocessing company. WASSENBURG Medical is a global manufacturer of a complete range of systems, consumables and services covering all aspects of the endoscope reprocessing cycle. Completing this transaction will provide for further innovation in reprocessing of endoscopes solutions by combining the engineering power of WASSENBURG Medical and the flexible endoscopy division PENTAX Medical. “The strategic alliance formed between HOYA and WASSENBURG has provided for a strong platform of growth since 2013.
