The model takes into account disturbances in the natural input, flow, and natural output of mineral elements caused by human activity.The disturbances can be regulated in part by mineral fertilization.

Model experiments with Scotch pine seedlings grown from seeds from 4 provenances in Poland showed the different abilities of these plants to accumulate particular nutrients.Thus, the highest N, Ca, and B and the lowest and Al accumulations were found in seedlings originating from the Gubin district; the highest Mg, Al, and Cu accumulations occurred in those from the Spala district.
