Film coating was applied in Echinacea purpurea medicine for providing stable preparationUsing microcrystalline cellulose blank pill as carrier, Echinacea purpurea extract and micro-silica mix suspension solution were used in spouted fluidized bed, and 20A29073 or 85G66695 was used as coating materials.Echinacea purpurea dry power 3 g, drug loaded pellets with low and high dose were dried for 2 h at 105°C.The 0.1 g was obtained from three samples, and moved in 28 mL glass bottle, and moisture absorption method was conducted at 25°C 60% RH for 7 d.After placed 18 wk, coated pellets had complete shape and better fluidity.Under 25°C 60% RH, the weight of Echinacea purpurea dry power was increased by 32%, the weight was increased by 24% in drug loaded pellets with high dose, and the weight was increased by 17.5% and 14% in drug loaded pellets with low dose after coating 20A29073 or 85G66695.

Influence of hypromellose QbD sample with different CMA on drug release of extended release nifedipine hydrophilic matrix tablets

The objective of this study was to study the influence of different critical quality attribute samples of hypromellose (QbD sample) on hydrophilic extended release matrix tablets of water insoluble drug nifedipine (solubility in water, 11 μg/mL) as model drug.The nifedipine extended release matrix tablets were manufactured by direct compression (DC) method with hypromellose QbD sample and other excipients, which critical material attributes (CMAs) of viscosity, particle size and hydroxypropoxyl content close to the range of limitation.The in-vitro drug release profiles from extended release hydrophilic matrix tablets were tested according to the method of criteria.The variation of viscosity, particle size, and hydroxylpropoxyl content of hypromellose within the limit has no significant influence on drug release profile of nifedipine extended release matrix tablets.

Influences of Coating Parameters on Transparency of Semi-permeable Membrane Coating on Push-pull Osmotic Pump Tablets

The transparency of the semi-permeable membrane coating on the push-pull osmotic pump tablets is very important for the identification of the drug layer and the push layer in laser drilling machine.In the process of semi-permeable film coating,the phenomenon of whitening of semi-permeable membrane occurs from time to time.In this paper,the push-pull osmotic pump tablets coated with cellulose acetate as semi-permeable membrane with the brownish red tablet cores were prepared,and color difference anal. was adopted to evaluate the transparency of the semi-permeable membrane with delta E(DE) value as a quant. indicator.The JMP 10.0 statistic software was used to carry out the random customized exptl. design for 12 experiments,including one central point.The influences of the selected coating process parameters including inlet airflow volume,inlet temperature,liquid spraying rate,coating weight gain and relative humidity of actual environment on transparency of the semi-permeable membrane were investigated.The results showed that the influences of liquid spraying rate,inlet temperature and their interaction significantly influenced transparency of the semi-permeable membrane,and bed temperature and its interaction with relative humidity of actual environment were also significant factors leading to film opacity.
