The concentration of PDO in 1,3-propanediol (PDO) fermentation broth is 7%∼10%, and the water content is 82%∼85%.In addition, it also contains 2%∼3% salt, mainly divalent sodium succinate and sodium sulfate.In addition, there is a small amount of sodium acetate.The conventional desalination process is electrodialysis desalination, but the ion exchange membrane is easy to be polluted.This paper attempts to study the desalination process of PDO fermentation broth by nanofiltration membrane, Several nanofiltration membranes with different specifications were selected to desalt PDO fermentation broth.The results showed that DK nanofiltration membrane of GE had the highest rejection rate of divalent salt in PDO fermentation broth, but the desalted liquor still could not meet the downstream extraction requirements.
