Spiro[fluorene-9, 9'-xanthene] derivatives are widely used in organic light emitting semiconductor(OLED) devices as blue light materials or dopant materials. 2'-(4, 4, 5, 5-Tetramethyl-1, 3, 2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)-Spiro[9H-fluorene-9, 9'-[9H]xanthene]is synthesized from di-Ph ether as the starting material, then reacted with 2-bromo-fluorenone after being lithiated by sec-Bu lithium, and then via ring closure reaction by p-toluenesulfonic acid catalysis in the dichloromethane solvent, and with pinacol diborate by Miyaura boronation reaction in this paper.Target product content is greater than 99.5%, total yield of the target compound reach to 73%.The thermal stability and optical property of the target product were studied by TG-DSC and UV-vis.
