Cyhalofop-Bu is the only one herbicide of aryloxyphenoxypropionic acid that is highly safe to rice.The key chiral intermediate is(R)-2-(4-hydroxyphenoxy) propionic acid that its conventional synthetic process products large waste with low yield.After a lot of research and development, a high-selectivity, low-pollution green process has been developed.The preparation of cyhalofop-Bu not only optimizes the conventional etherification and esterification process, but also combines fat enzyme-catalyzed esterification that fully reflects the development and application of Cleaner Production processes.
Chiral separation and quantitative analysis of quizalofop-P-tefuryl TC

A method for separation and quant. anal. of quizalofop-P-tefuryl and its enantiomers by HPLC with Chiralpak AD-H column was described.The results showed that the four enantiomers were well separatedThe linear correlation coefficient of the method was 0.9999, the coefficient of variation was 0.14%, and the recoveries were between 98.37% and 101.79%.

Using 4-[(6-chloro-2-quinoxalinyl)oxy]phenol and Et (S)-2-[[(4-methylphenyl) sulfonyl]oxy]propanoate as starting materials, quizalofop-P-tefuryl was prepared through transesterification and substitution reaction.The total yield was 91.2%, the purity was 95%, and the optical purity was 95%.The improved method had such advantages as simple operations, high yield.It was suitable for industrial production
