Overview

Foaming ability and foam stability of nonaqueous fluid with dextrin fatty acid esters having different carbon chains were investigated by using handmade foaming apparatus with a nitrogen gas aerator.As a result, dextrin palmitate was found to be the best additive for both the foaming ability and the foam stability.Furthermore, the addition of water improved the foam stability and extended the foam-vanishing time, for which an optimum content of water was found to exist.These results suggested the formation nonaqueous foam layer containing water in the surface or inside the layer.
