Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQoL) is a significant indicator for assessing the quality of life and health status of patients. Quality of life is usually used as a secondary clinical endpoint to compare treatment methods with similar effects and varying toxicity. However, it can also be paired with Overall Survival (OS) as a co-primary endpoint. HRQoL is typically assessed through a set of four core questions developed by the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which includes overall health, physical health, mental health, and daily life activities.
