A high performance liquid chromatog. (HPLC) method was developed for the rapid determination of Basic Yellow II in aquatic products by HPLC.Methods After being extracted by methanol homogenizer, the sample was rapidly separated by ODS-C18 column (4.6mm×250mm, 5MM) and then detected by UV detector at 432nm.Results The linear relationship of Basic YellowII in aquatic products was good in the range of 0.02∼2mg·L-1 (r2≥0.999), the average recovery was between 93.6% and 103.0%, the relative standard deviations (RS-DS) was less than 10%, and the limit of detection (LODs) was 0.004mg·kg-1, the limitation of Quant. (LOQs) is 0.016mg·kg-1.Conclusion The method is accurate and sensitive, and can be used for the rapid determination of Basic Yellow II in aquatic products.
