Impact of Colchicine in Hospitalized Colombian Patients With COVID-19
This is a phase IIIa, prospective, open-label, randomized, parallel-group study designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of oral colchicine plus standard therapy versus standard therapy in the clinical course of SARS-CoV-2 infection, in a population group with moderate COVID-19 compromise and requiring hospitalization.Aproximately 120 subjects meeting all inclusion and not inclusion criteria will be randomized to receive either Colchicine plus standard treatment or only standard treatment for 15 days
/ CompletedNot ApplicableIIT Analysis of Immunization Time, Amplitude and Adverse Events of 7 Different Vaccines Against SARS-COV-2 Across 4 Countries
Background: Scarce information exists in relation to the comparison of seroconversion and adverse events following immunization (AEFI) with different SARS-COV2 vaccines. Our aim was to correlate the magnitude of the antibody response to vaccination with previous clinical conditions and AEFI.
Methods: A multicentric comparative study where SARS-CoV-2 spike 1-2 IgG antibodies IgG titers are being measured at baseline, 21-28 days after the first and second dose (when applicable), six months and a year of the following vaccines: BNT162b2 mRNA, mRNA-1273, Gam-COVID-Vac, Coronavac, ChAdOx1-S, Ad5-nCoV and Ad26.COV2. Mixed model and Poisson generalized linear models will be performed for the analyses.
Safety and Efficacy of Mesenchymal Stem Cells in the Management of Severe COVID-19
The disease caused by the new coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, called COVID-19, it has considered a worldwide pandemia by the WHO. Suddently, it produces a lot of patients severe ill, in a little geographic area, that could surpase the resourses of the any health system in the world.
There is no documentation of an effective alternative for the treatment of the severe ill patients, that can reduce the mortality or the adverse events suffered by these people.
It is has suggested the usefulness of the Mesenchymal Stem cells (MSC) for the management of these patients, thanks to their direct and indirect antiviral capacity, and its potency as immunomodulator, that could ameliorate the lung disease and the severity of COVID-19.
