Extraction technology of total flavonoids from Flos Trollii

With total flavonoids as index, extraction technol. of total flavonoids from Flos Trollii (Trollius chinensis Bunge) was optimized by orthogonal exptl. design.Effects of 4 factors, including volume fraction of ethanol, extraction times, extraction time and ethanol amount on the extraction rate were investigated.The content of total flavonoids was determined by spectrophotometry.The order of different factors affecting the extraction rate was extraction times > volume fraction of ethanol > extraction time > ethanol amountThe optimal extraction condition was as follows: extraction for 3 times with 10-fold amount of 65% ethanol, each for 2 h.The mass fraction of total flavonoids under the optimal extraction condition was 10.12%.

Study on quality standard of Zhibituo Dropping Pills

In order to control the quality of preparation, TLC was used to identify Monascus qual. and HPLC method was used to determine the content of lovastatin in Zhibitiuo Dropping Pills.Using C18 column, the mobile phase was made from the acetone methanol-0.1% H3PO4 (55:10:35), and the detection wavelength was at 238 nm.Monascus could be identified by TLC.For lovastatin, the linear range was 7.122-118.7 μg, the correlation coefficient was 0.9998, and the average recovery was 99.49% with RSD = 0.23%.The method is simple, reliable, and accurate and can be applied to the quality control of Zhibitiuo Dropping Pills.
