A preliminary comparison was made on the effectiveness, safety and appropriate dosage of bear bile capsules containing artificial bear bile powder instead of bear bile powder in the treatment of acute conjunctivitis (liver meridian heat syndrome), providing a reference for the design of confirmatory trials.

Using healthy Chinese adult subjects as research subjects, a clinical human tolerance study of artificial bear bile powder was conducted. Starting from a safe initial dose, the tolerance of the human body to the drug and the adverse reactions it produced were observed, the safe and tolerable human dose was determined, the adverse reactions at this dose were understood, and data support was provided for the safety of the clinical application of artificial bear bile powder.
