To observe the efficacy and safety of amlodipine besylate folic acid tablets in lowering blood pressure and homocysteine in patients with mild to moderate essential hypertension who are intolerant to angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors and have elevated plasma homocysteine, and to explore the modifying effect of methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) C677T gene polymorphism on the antihypertensive and/or homocysteine-lowering efficacy of amlodipine besylate folic acid tablets, so as to provide a scientific basis for clinical individualized medication.

To observe the efficacy and safety of amlodipine besylate folic acid tablets in lowering blood pressure and homocysteine in patients with mild to moderate essential hypertension with elevated plasma homocysteine (10 μmol/L).
