A Holistic Medical Approach - The Effect of "Traditional Chinese Medicine Therapy Program for Reinforcing Vital Energy" on Breast Cancer Patients Undergoing Cancer Therapy
The goal of this study is to evaluate the impact of the "Traditional Chinese Medicine Therapy Program for Reinforcing Vital Energy" on patients with breast cancer who are currently undergoing conventional Western medical treatments in Taiwan. The main questions it aims to answer are:
Can the "Traditional Chinese Medicine Therapy Program" alleviate symptoms experienced by breast cancer patients? Does the program improve the quality of life for breast cancer patients receiving Western medical treatments? How does the program contribute to the management of side effects associated with Western oncological therapies?
Participants will:
Engage in the "Traditional Chinese Medicine Therapy Program for Reinforcing Vital Energy" provided by the Taiwan Compassionate Cancer Care Association.
Receive supportive and educational services, including auxiliary Chinese medicine treatment courses, lifestyle and health education, and psychological counseling.
This study seeks to integrate the concept of holistic healthcare, emphasizing coordinated care that encompasses physical, mental, and social aspects, into the treatment of breast cancer.
Outcomes of a Specially Designed Needle (Small Needle-Knife) Treating Frozen Shoulder Based on Analysis of Microcirculation and Pulse Changes
The aim is to investigate whether adding small needle-knife therapy to standard Western medicine enhances the treatment of frozen shoulder by evaluating its impact on microcirculation and meridian unblocking.
Evaluation of the Effect of Nutrition and Exercise Program Intervention on the Health of Community-dwelling Older Adults
The purpose of this study is to design a nutrition and exercise course for the elderly adults in the community, and to evaluate the effectiveness of this course intervention on the nutritional knowledge, nutritional status, sarcopenia, and health status of the elderly in the community. This study adopted convenience sampling and targeted 108 community elders over 65 years old in Taipei City. All participants receive 3 nutrition and exercise courses. Each course was separated by one week. Measurements and collections were conducted one week before and one week after the course. BMI (body mass index), muscle mass, calf circumference, grip strength, Mini Nutritional Assessment Form Short Form (MNA-SF), SARC-F scale, Taiwan Short Form 36 Health Scale (SF-36) and nutrition knowledge and attitude and behavioral questionnaires will be collected to evaluate the effectiveness of the course.
