Objective:To optimize the testing methods for seed quality of Polygonatum kingianum, and provide basis for establishing seed quality standard of P.kingianum.Methods:The seed quality of P.kingianum from different producing areas was measured based on the agricultural seed testing.Results:The samples weight of P.kingianum were at least 2000 g for purity anal. and were at least 200 g for testing.Seed weight was determined by 100-seed method.The water content was carried out by higher temperature for 9.5 h.Seed viability was tested in 35 °C for 24 h.The germination bed was filter paper, temperature was 25 °C, illumination conditions was dark.Conclusion:The seed testing methods for quality items of P.kingianum have been initially established.
