/ CompletedNot Applicable Randomized Split-Face Study Using a Post-Procedural Biotech Cellulose Mask to Improve Patient Comfort & Downtime
Background: There are many post-procedural treatments touted to improve comfort and decrease downtime, but very few prospective randomized studies.
Aims: To analyze the safety and efficacy of a post-procedural biotech cellulose mask Patients/Method: Fifteen patients undergoing either a microneedling with radiofrequency (n=5), non-ablative fractional (n=5), or full erbium;YAG resurfacing (n=5) treatment were randomized to receive a Velez biotech cellulose mask on one side of the face for 30 minutes after the procedure and for two hours a day until healed. Canfield Visia photos and thermal photographs were taken 30 minutes after the procedure and daily until healed. The investigator and blind evaluators reviewed the photos and subjects answered daily questionnaires.
/ Unknown statusNot Applicable Double Blind Split Face Randomized Placebo Controlled Clinical Trial Investigating Juvederm Vollure for the Correction of Atrophic Facial Scarring
Subjects will be randomized to receive up to 1cc of Juvéderm Vollure on one side of their face and up to 1cc of Saline on the other. On Day 30, this treatment with the same left-right assignment can be repeated. Subjects will return 24-48 hours after their first treatment to fill out questionnaires, take pictures, and to be assessed by blinded evaluators regarding short term adverse events. Subjects will fill out a 30 day subject diary and also return 30 and 90 days after their last treatment to fill out questionnaires, take pictures, complete the Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale (GAIS), and to be assessed on the QGSGS and for long-term adverse events by blinded evaluators. At 12 months, 18 months, and 24 months, the subjects will return to fill out questionnaires, take pictures, and to be assessed by blinded evaluators for long-term efficacy.
/ Active, not recruitingNot Applicable An Evaluator -Blinded, Split-Neck, Randomized Clinical Study Investigating the Efficacy and Safety of Restylane Refyne for Correction of Static Horizontal Neck Rhytides Utilizing Either a Cannula or Needle
Subjects with grades ranging from 1---3 on the Transverse Neck Line Scale, will be randomized to receive up to 1cc of Restylane Refyne on one side of their neck utilizing a cannula and up to 1cc of Restylane Refyne on the other side utilizing a 30--gauge needle. On Day 30, this treatment with the same left---right assignment can be repeated if optimal correction on either side has not been achieved according to the treating investigator. Subjects will return 24--48 hours after their first treatment, to fill out questionnaires, take pictures, and to be assessed by blinded evaluators regarding adverse events. Subjects will also return 30 days after their final treatment to fill out final questionnaires, take pictures, and to be assessed by blinded evaluators regarding improvement of static rhytides.
