Introduction Subunit of ATP-sensitive potassium channels (KATP). Can form cardiac and smooth muscle-type KATP channels with KCNJ11. Can form a sulfonylurea-sensitive but ATP-insensitive potassium channel with KCNJ8 (By similarity). |
