In the multi center test, in order to avoid the differences in laboratory results caused by the use of different instruments in different laboratories and different testers, the blood samples or urine samples collected at all test points are sent to one laboratory for processing, analysis and reporting. This laboratory is the central laboratory. In the test of using the central laboratory to analyze the samples, researchers are not required to obtain special data from the laboratory. but researchers still have to review laboratory data and evaluate significantly abnormal results.

If a local laboratory is used, the sponsor will ask the investigator to obtain the normal value measured by the laboratory and the connection of the laboratory.

The evidence subject to regular quality control may also require relevant information about the analytical method. Since laboratories at different test sites may use different methods detect similar specimens, so when the data come from different test points, it should be ensured that each test point uses similar methods were used for detection.
