On the basis of single factor test, the response surface methodol.(RSM) was employed to optimize the microwave-assisted extraction of flavonoids from Homalomena rhizome, and the Design-Expert 7.0 was used for quadratic response surface anal.The results showed that among the four factors, the ratio of solvent and material most significantly affected the absorbance, followed by microwave power, concentration of ethanol and microwave time.The optimum extraction conditions were: solvent and material ratio of 30:1(mL/g), microwave power of 273.8 W, ethanol of 50% and microwave time of 5 min resp.
