Phase 1 Pharmacokinetic and Pharmacodynamic Responses to Oral L-Citrulline in Patients With Sickle Cell Disease
To evaluate PK and PD responses to L-citrulline given orally for four weeks to patients with sickle cell disease who are otherwise healthy.

To prove the combination of L-citrulline with simvastatin leads to greater improvement in the symptoms of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) than simvastatin alone by evaluating oral L- citrulline or placebo against simvastatin for improvement in treadmill walking distance in patients, 40-75 years of age, who have PAD with intermittent claudication.

This is the first clinical research trial in which intravenous Prostaglandin E1 (PGE1 is a vasoactive hormone) will be used as supportive treatment along with the angioplasty procedure to treat or open up a blocked artery within one lower limb or the most affected of two limbs in subjects with Peripheral Arterial Occlusive Disease.
