Objective To establish a high-performance liquid chromatog.( HPLC) method for the content determination of leonurine hydrochloride in the Chanhoukang Paste.Methods The chromatog. column was Kromasil 100-S-C18 column( 250 mm x 4. 6 mm, 5 μm), the mobile phase was acetonitrile-0. 2% phosphoric acid solution( 22 : 78, V/V), the flow rate was 1. 2 m L/min, the detection wavelength was 280 nm, the injection volume was 10 μL, and the column temperature was 20 °C .Results The linear range of leonurine hydrochloride was 0. 004 5-1. 125 0 mg/m L( R2 = 0. 999 9).The RSDs of precision, stability and repeatability tests were less than 1. 50%, the average recovery of leonurine hydrochloride was 100. 63% with RSD of 3. 99%( n = 6).Conclusion The method is specific and accurate, and can be used for the content determination of leonurine hydrochloride in Chanhoukang Paste, which can meet the requirements of rapid examination of hospital preparations
