What is ICH in Life Sciences?

The full name is the International Conference on Harmonization of Technical Requirements for Registration of Pharmaceuticals for Human Use, which is an international coordinating organization initiated in 1990 by the pharmaceutical regulatory authorities and the pharmaceutical industry management agencies of Europe, Japan, and the United States. They aim to harmonize the existing differences in the technical regulations for the registration of pharmaceuticals for human use in these three regions. The main goal is to accelerate the research and development and market launch of new drugs worldwide without affecting the quality, safety, and effectiveness of the drugs.
