FIC stands for First in Class, which refers to pioneering drugs. These are identified by discovering new drug targets, mechanisms of action, and molecular structures, gradually synthesizing candidate compounds from scratch. Through repeated trials and screenings, drugs are finally discovered that meet both therapeutic efficacy and human safety requirements (tolerability, pharmacodynamics).
