The purpose of this study was to compare the efficacy of 14-day eradication of Helicobacter pylori with different doses of Keverprazan combined with Amoxicillin dual therapy and Keverprazan-based bismuth quadruple therapy and compare the adverse reactions, compliance, and factors affecting the efficacy of eradication schemes among different groups.

Efficacy of Quadruple Therapy Based on Fecal Molecular Antimicrobial Susceptibility Tests as First-line Treatment for Helicobacter Pylori Infection

This study aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of 14-day quadruple therapy based on fecal molecular antimicrobial susceptibility tests for the first-line eradication of H. pylori infection, thus, providing more evidence to inform the value of fecal antimicrobial susceptibility tests in the first-line treatment of H. pylori infection.

Efficacy and safety of bismuth quadruple regimens containing minocycline and vonoprazan for eradication of Helicobacter pylori: Real‐world evidence

AbstractBackground and AimTo evaluate the efficacy and safety of minocycline, vonoprazan, amoxicillin, and bismuth quadruple therapy for Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) treatment.MethodsFrom August 2022 to May 2023, clinical data were collected from patients who received H. pylori eradication treatment at West China Fourth Hospital, Sichuan University. One group received the MVAB regimen (amoxicillin, minocycline, vonoprazan, and colloidal bismuth pectin), while another group received the FOAB regimen (amoxicillin, furazolidone, omeprazole, and colloidal bismuth pectin), both administered for 14 days. Follow‐up assessments of safety and compliance were conducted within 1 week after treatment completion. One and a half months after treatment, the success of eradication was evaluated using the urea breath test.ResultsFor the MVAB regimen as a first‐line treatment, the eradication rate was 90.1% (127/141, 95% CI: 85.1–95.1%) in the ITT analysis and 93.4% (127/136, 95% CI: 89.2–97.6%) in the PP analysis as a first‐line treatment. As a second‐line treatment, the eradication rate was 91.3% (21/23, 95% CI: 78.8–103.8%) in both analyses. For the FOAB regimen as a first‐line treatment, the eradication rate was 98.0% (50/51, 95% CI: 94.1–101.2%) in the ITT analysis and 100% (50/50, 95% CI: 100%) in the PP analysis. As a second‐line treatment, the eradication rate was 100% (6/6, 95% CI: 100%) in both analyses. Moreover, there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse events between the two groups (MVAB regimen: 5.5% and FOAB regimen: 8.8%; P > 0.05).ConclusionsThe MVAB regimen could indeed be a viable alternative treatment option to conventional therapies.

Effects of Quadruple Therapy Combined with Probiotics on Helicobacter Pylori-Related Peptic Ulcer

The present study was designed to observe the effect of quadruple therapy combined with probiotics on Helicobacter pylori-related peptic ulcer. The patients in the control group (

n = 90

) were given regular quadruple therapy including proton pump inhibitor ilaprazole enteric-coated tablet + two antibiotics amoxicillin dispersible tablet and metronidazole tablet + colloidal bismuth pectin capsule for 2 weeks. Patients in the study group (

n = 90

) were given abovementioned quadruple therapy combined with probiotics live combined Bifidobacterium, Lactobacillus, and Enterococcus Capsules, oral for 2 weeks. Then Hp clearance rate, recurrence rate, levels of gastrointestinal hormone makers, and advance reactions between two groups were compared. At the 2nd week after the treatment, the Helicobacter pylori clearance rate in the study group (87.79%) was significantly higher than the control group (78.89%), and the total recurrence rate in the study group (6.67%) was significantly lower than the control group (13.33%) (

P < 0.05

). Serum gastrin and motilin expression were lower, and somatostatin expressions was significantly higher than those in the control group (

P < 0.05

). There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (

P > 0.05

). In summary, quadruple therapy combined with probiotics in the treatment of Helicobacter pylori-related peptic ulcer can improve the Helicobacter pylori clearance rate, reduce the Helicobacter pylori recurrence rate, and is beneficial to improving the level of gastrointestinal hormones, with certain safety.

[Jinghuaweikang capsules combined with Quadruple therapy in the treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection:a multicenter,randomized,controlled,clinical study].

Objective: To explore the efficacy of Jinghuaweikang capsules combined with Quadruple therapy in the treatment of Helicobacter pylori (H.pylori)infection. Methods: Patients who were infected with H.pylori in 7 centers in Gansu Province were recruited in this prospective simple randomized study. All the patients are divided into four groups randomly: patients in Group A1 were treated with esomeprazole (20 mg, twice a day) + pectin bismuth (200 mg, three times a day) + amoxicillin (1 000 mg, twice a day) + clarithromycin (500 mg, twice a day), while Group A2 with Jinghuaweikang capsules(160 mg, three times a day) based on group A2, Group B1 with esomeprazole (20 mg, twice a day) + bismuth pectin (200 mg, three times a day) + amoxicillin (1 000 mg, twice a day) + furazolidone (100 mg, twice a day) and Group B2 with Jinghuaweikang capsules(160 mg, three times a day) based on group B2. The treatment time was 14 days for all 4 groups. In the course of treatment, abdominal pain, acid reflux, abdominal distension, belching, hiccups were observed at the time before treatment, 14 days and 30 days after treatment and were scored. Finally, all patients received (13)C or (14)C for H.pylori at the time of 30 days after the treatment. Result: A total of 455 patients were included in 7 hospitals from February 2016 to May 2017 in Gansu province, and there were 189 male patients. Group A1 included 129 cases, group A2 96 cases, group B1 112 cases and group B2 118 cases. The eradication rates that accorded with program data analysis (PP) were A1[46.9%(60/128)], A2[63.8%(60/94)], B1[60.7%(68/112)], B2[68.6%(81/118)] (P<0.004). Compared with group A1, the eradication rate of H.pylori in group B1 and group A2 increased (P<0.001, P=0.032), there was no statistical difference between group B2 and group A2, group B1 and group B2 (P=0.208, P=0.461). According to intentional analysis (ITT), the eradication rates of H.pylori in group A1 were 46.5% (60/129),group A2 were 62.5% (60/96),group B1 were 60.7% (68/112),and group B2 were 68.6% (81/118).The radical rate of A2 was higher than A1 (P=0.017), group B2 was not higher than group B1 (P=0.208), and there was no significant difference among the other groups. The symptoms of abdominal pain, abdominal distention, acid reflux, belching and hiccup in the group A2 and group B2 were improved than those in group A1 and group B1 (P<0.05). No serious adverse reactions occurred in all groups. Conclusion: Jinghuaweikang capsules can improve the eradication rate of Helicobacter pylori, and improve the symptoms of patients.
